You’d think as a writer I would be better at this sort of thing.  The fact is, it’s easy enough to write about someone else, but I’ve always had a problem with writing about me.  What I usually end up doing is

writing myself into stories here and there.  Not everyone is quick enough to catch that.  For those of you who have caught on...well, now you just know too much, and I’ll have to get rid of you.  :o)

I’m pretty fond of nature.  No matter how beautiful art is, it is impossible to beat that which nature puts before us.  Bright blue summer skies,  orange hued sunsets over the mountains, the brilliance of lightning slicing through an angry pallet of gray, and each delicate velveteen petal of a rose are perfection placed before us by the ultimate designer, and it’s a good thing for the rest of us that God didn’t put a copyright on any of it.

My passions include (writing obviously), drawing, horses, photography, and reading.  I do not believe you can be much of a writer if you aren’t much of a reader.  I truly love cooking (it’s doing dishes that seems to hold me up).  To me, life is simple.  Little things make me happy, and I’ve found that it’s much easier to not take life for granted if you learn to appreciate every happiness as a gift.

My novel, Dulane’s Finest Filly, should be available soon, and I am already working on the sequel, which is really the “prequel.”

I am not a web or graphics designer by any means, but I can design

simple web sites on my own.  Anything too complicated is not within my scope of experience or expertise, but I do keep working at it.

I am a freelance writer/copy editor. I have over 9 years of experience in transcription, and over 15 years experience in marketing/brochure/web site content/document creation and editing.

I also dabble in photography, and am pretty keen on editing photos for artistic purposes.  Creativity is the central core of my life.  I like pictures that denote some emotion or lends itself to the creation/imagining of a story.  My photos may not always be technically “perfect”, but neither was the thing I took the picture of.  Photography is like poetry to me—All a matter of perspective and translation.

Bright blue dragonfly, take me with you.

Slave to simplicity, synchronicity and...well...coffee.

Picture of me and my mom at Petersen’s Rock Garden in Redmond, OR.  I love that place, despite my look of confusion.
